about Meg:
Meg DeClerck is the founder of Red Buddha Yoga and Wellness, a sanctuary dedicated to empowering individuals through the transformative guidance of Ancient Yoga Psychology, Eastern Philosophy, Meditation, and holistic healing practices. Red Buddha was originally conceived in 2003 on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico.
Meg’s work has been shaped by a deeply international life and career. She has lived in Mexico, the United Kingdom, the United States, Guatemala, Costa Rica, India, and Switzerland, and has instructed and lectured within a wide range of cultural settings. Exposure to these diverse social and cultural contexts has cultivated a nuanced understanding of the complex factors that shape the human experience, allowing her work to be accessible to people from many different backgrounds and circles. She speaks English, Spanish, Sanskrit, and Deutsch.
With more than 20 years of experience as a senior instructor specializing in traditional Eastern healing modalities, Meg holds certifications as a Holistic Health Practitioner, E-RYT 500 Yoga Instructor, Sound Healer, Reiki Practitioner, Trauma-Informed Instructor, Ashtanga Yoga teacher (Manju Jois lineage), and 500-hour Yoga Teacher Trainer. Her work now integrates these foundations with Western Psychodynamic therapy. She is currently completing her education to become a licensed Psychotherapist in Switzerland and has recently expanded her studies to include Couples Therapy training through The Gottman Institute.
Meg’s therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centered, grounded in the principles of self-awareness, self-compassion, and the innate human drive toward growth and self-actualization. Drawing from humanistic, existential, psychodynamic, Gestalt, and behavioral frameworks, her work supports clients in understanding patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior while developing practices that promote both psychological resilience and mind-body wellbeing.
A central component of her work involves the compassionate processing and integration of trauma, attachment experiences, and developmental wounds that influence emotional regulation, self-concept, and relationships. Through reflective exploration and meaning-making, clients are supported in cultivating deeper self-trust, emotional coherence, and a more authentic relationship with themselves.
The therapeutic relationship itself forms the foundation of Meg’s work. Sessions are grounded in empathy, collaboration, and unconditional positive regard, creating a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their inner world freely. Within this relational space, individuals are supported in discovering their strengths, clarifying their values, and aligning their lives with deeper purpose.
Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Meg works with private clients throughout the year and leads mindfulness trekking retreats around the Matterhorn during the summer months. Her work invites individuals into a process of self-discovery, healing, and integration -supporting balance across the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of life.
