About the work:
For over 20 years, Meg has explored the profound connection between the mind + body and their natural, innate ability to heal. When we break a bone for example, our bodies instinctively do what is necessary to support recovery. Meg’s belief is this same inner drive exists within our emotional and psychological lives - we possess a natural desire to resolve, grow, and evolve when unhealthy patterns surface.
The work begins with deep understanding. Just as a skilled general practitioner conducts a thorough intake, Meg takes time to learn about your current lifestyle, including stress levels, habits, sleep, nutrition, work demands, relationships, belief systems, thinking patterns and significant life events such as grief or trauma. Equally important is understanding what you hope to gain from the time together and identifying the areas where growth and healing are most desired.
After completing an initial intake journal, you will meet for an in-person 2 hour session to explore your history and experiences more deeply. This conversation allows space to clarify patterns in nourishment, movement, emotional responses, relational experiences and rumination.
Meg’s approach is grounded in the understanding that strong foundations support meaningful growth. As described in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, it is important to first establish stability and meet our essential physical and emotional needs before reaching higher levels of fulfillment. This is the same philosophy that is deeply embedded in the Ancient Yogic wisdom. Together, we will focus on grounding practices that help build this foundation.
These practices may include:
• Breath work and nervous system regulation
• Gentle physical postures and mindful movement
• Awareness of gait, posture, and embodied patterns
• Integrating breath and presence into daily activities
• Exploring thought patterns, beliefs, emotional reactions, and behaviors
• Introduction of theoretical frameworks from the East and West that promote self-investigatory work and self-actualization.
• Releasing shame and guilt, opening up to acceptance
• Self-love and worthiness
We will also create space to compassionately examine unresolved past experiences that may be limiting your present life. Through breath, movement, and open dialogue, we work to release internal blockages and create pathways toward greater clarity, freedom, and alignment.
I work with openness, honesty, and depth. When helpful, I share personal life experiences that have shaped my understanding of loss, relationships, resilience, and healing. My own journey through profound grief and challenging relational dynamics informs my work and allows me to support clients with empathy, authenticity, and practical insight.
I feel so many of us crave a safe space to just be… and let our guards down.
It would be a pleasure to support you on your path toward healing and growth.
